CHECK OUT HUNGER™ 2009

One of Ozarks Food Harvest’s most recognizable fundraisers is the annual holiday hunger awareness and fund drive, CHECK OUT HUNGER™. Every year from mid-November through the end of December, local hometown grocers across The Food Bank’s service area partner with Ozarks Food Harvest to display CHECK OUT HUNGER™ materials.

Shoppers will find displays and scan cards in the check-out aisles of their local supermarkets. When a shopper chooses to add a $1 tax-free donation to his or her grocery bill, the cashier simply scans the donation slip and the donor has the opportunity to sign a donor card for display. The donation is added to the bill and appears on the receipt.

Please give generously whenever you see the CHECK OUT HUNGER™ displays in your supermarket. For every $1 donated The Food Bank provides $10 worth of food items to those in need!
