How to Help

Scouting for Food

When:
Friday, March 01 — Sunday, March 31
Where:
Local neighborhoods and Scouts troops
Description:

During the month of March, Scouts are going door-to-door to collect non-perishable food items for Ozarks Food Harvest during Scouting for Food. Grocery bags will be dropped off in area neighborhoods along with fliers of most-needed items.

Donations will also be accepted at the following locations throughout the month:
• BSA Ozark Trails Council, 1616 S Eastgate Ave. Donations are accepted Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. or Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Ozarks Food Harvest, 2810 N Cedarbrook Ave. Donation drop-off is at the northeast end of the building, directly off of Packer Road. Donations are accepted Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Fridays, 8a.m. to 12 p.m.

The most-needed donations include tuna and canned meats, peanut butter, beans, boxed or canned meals, rice and pasta, cereal and canned vegetables and fruit.

Supporters can also make a donation online, where every $1 helps provide 3 meals. Last year, Scouting for Food provided over 2,100 meals for our neighbors facing hunger. Helps Scouts collect even more this year by making a donation.
