FEATURED FRIENDS OF THE FOOD BANK

These ongoing supporters play an integral role in providing hunger-relief across southwest MISSOURI

Ozarks Food Harvest is serving more people than ever before. The need is great — and growing — and that’s why The Food Bank is so thankful for the generosity of so many community partners who are Transforming Hunger into Hope each and every day. Ozarks Food Harvest relies on these partnerships, and The Food Bank’s network is grateful for the support. Thank you for believing in the mission of The Food Bank and showing compassion for those who encounter hunger in southwest Missouri.

The Missouri Foundation for Health is committed to improving the health of the people and communities it serves, including Ozarks Food Harvest and those who benefit from The Food Bank’s network.

Walmart Foundation

Every month, Walmart stores across the Ozarks donate food and supplies to The Food Bank and many of its partner organizations. In fact, the majority of the food distributed by Ozarks Food Harvest is donated from Walmart and SAM’s CLUB. Annually, the Walmart Foundation and the Walmart Foundation State Giving Program in Missouri supports Ozarks Food Harvest and its agency network via grants.

Musgrave Foundation

The Musgrave Foundation was formed in 1984, during Jeannette L. Musgrave’s later years in life. She was the wife of Dr. Edward F. Musgrave who inherited a sizable sum from his family’s oil leases in Oklahoma and Texas. Since its inception, the Musgrave Foundation has awarded more than $1 million in grants to selected charities in the Springfield, Missouri area.

The Kraft Foods Foundation supports efforts to fight hunger, promote healthy lifestyles and provide humanitarian aid. Together with longtime nonprofit partners like Feeding America and Ozarks Food Harvest, Kraft and its foundation strive to make a positive impact in local communities in the Ozarks.

United Way of the Ozarks

While Ozarks Food Harvest is not an agency of the local United Way, the Female Leaders in Philanthropy (FLiP), an initiative of the United Way of the Ozarks, supports The Food Bank’s Weekend Backpack Program annually. United Way’s Day of Caring volunteers also donate time, food and funds to OFH each year.
