Meals begin with an act of kindness. One dollar. One donation. One hour of someone’s time. These acts of kindness come from businesses, farmers, organizations—and people like you. Together, these acts spread to bring meals to more than 260,000 people in the Ozarks every year. From one act of kindness, one meal can Transform Hunger into Hope for the ones who need it most.

More ways to give

Amazon, eBay & 5 Pound apparel make it easy to support OFH

The AmazonSmile Foundation donates 0.5 percent of eligible purchases when you select Ozarks Food Harvest when you shop. eBay Giving Works enables sellers and buyers alike to also support OFH. The Food Bank’s partnership with 5 Pound Apparel provides a donation of five pounds of food for every T-shirt purchased through the local retailer. Shop your favorite online retailers while generating donations to help feed those in need in the Ozarks.

Matching gift programs

Does your employer participate in a matching gift program? Contact your company today and ask how your donation to The Food Bank can have an even bigger impact.

Did you know your employer can match your volunteer time with a donation to The Food Bank? Ask your company about their volunteer program and how to get started.

Your recurring payroll deductions are also efficient, as they are made automatically each month. For Ozarks Food Harvest, even a small pledge from an employee adds up to make an impact, especially when it is increased by the employer’s matching funds. Here are some existing Ozarks Food Harvest partners. For questions, contact Cassie Hanson at (417) 865-3411.

Sponsorship Opportunities

Sponsor weekend backpacks for hungry ozarks children

You can help provide a backpack filled with nutritious food for children to eat over the weekends. Hungerthon is held live every September on iHeartRadio’s 105.9 KGBX with Kevin and Liz. You can donate online today, or take advantage of the many matching opportunities during the annual four-day fundraiser. Sponsorships are utilized as on-air challenges—in hopes of inspiring listeners to give to the Weekend Backpack Program. To secure your sponsorship, contact Denise Gibson at (417) 865-3411.

Children ARE MISSING out on meals over the weekends

Why? Because many children in our community rely on the free meals provided at school, and aren’t guaranteed anything to eat over the weekend when school is out of session. But you can help! Give Ozarks began in 2015 and has helped nonprofits across our community raise over $1 million so far. Ozarks Food Harvest is using the community-wide fundraiser to support kids on the Weekend Backpack Program. Learn more by visiting The Food Bank’s Give Ozarks page.

Sponsor a mobile distribution

OFH’s Mobile Food Pantry is now serving an average of 450 people per distribution. These refrigerated trucks quickly distribute nutritious fresh produce and other perishable product. Sponsorships are available at $1,000, which covers the cost of food, fuel, vehicle maintenance, insurance, trailer usage and associated driver costs.

support the Weekend Backpack program

Children experiencing hunger have difficulty concentrating, are often sick, socially withdrawn or rebellious and less likely to excel academically. Ozarks Food Harvest was one of the first food banks in the country to establish a Backpack Program, which is now offered at nearly every Feeding America food bank in the country. Beginning with just one Ozarks school in 2003, OFH works to expand its program each year, distributing 56,000 backpacks annually.
