How to Help

Food Fight 2026

When:
Friday, Feb. 27 — Thursday, March 12
Where:
Springfield Public Schools and local businesses/organizations
Description:

Springfield Public Schools will compete for the title of Food Fight Champions by raising food and funds for our neighbors facing hunger. The schools that raise the most meals per student will win the 2026 title! Funds raised will support Ozarks Food Harvest’s Weekend Backpack Program, which provides weekend meals for students facing hunger. Food donations will stock school and community food pantries to serve families experiencing food insecurity in the Ozarks.

How to help:

    • You can help your chosen school become Food Fight Champions by donating to their food & fund drive. Every $5 raised will help provide 15 meals. Donate online or see a list of participating schools at the link below.
    • Partners needed! Your business, church or organization can get involved by partnering with a Springfield school to help raise food and funds. The deadline to become a partner is February 6. As a Food Fight partner, your organization will host a food or fund drive on behalf of your partner school to get them closer to the title of Food Fight Champion. We’ll help you set up an online fundraiser and provide food collection barrels depending on how you want to participate.
