On Sept. 14, thousands of anti-hunger advocates from across the country and here in southwest Missouri will go orange in an effort to raise awareness of the issue of hunger in the United States.

You can join in by doing these simple things:

• Wear orange. That orange T-shirt in your drawer, those orange socks, even that orange neck tie will do the trick to show everyone that you support eradicating hunger from the United States.

• Light up your porch. Turn your porch light orange to show your support for those who are hungry in the Ozarks.

• Add a Feeding America badge. Just add an orange Feeding America badge to your Facebook page to let your friends know you care about fighting hunger.

• Post on social media. Use #HungerActionMonth and #HungerHeroes and let your friends and family know you support our mission!
