Ozarks Food Harvest partners with iHeartRadio Springfield each September in this four-day radio-thon to raise funds for the Weekend Backpack Program, which provides weekend meals for local children who might otherwise go without.

A Hungerthon donation provides children facing hunger with a bag of nutritious meals every weekend of the school year. Each bag contains six kid-friendly meals, beverages and snacks for students to take home on the weekends when they don’t have access to school meals.

More than 60,000 bags are distributed in about 60 southwest Missouri schools each year. Learn more about the Weekend Backpack Program and the children it serves here.

Hungerthon listeners can donate online or by calling in during the Hungerthon radio-thon on September 5th-8th, 2025.
