Coming Together to Reap Better Results

Coming Together to Reap Better Results

So many of us look forward to summer and make plans to get as much out of the season as possible. For kids in the Ozarks who may face hunger, summer is simply something to get through. Without the meals they receive at school, the days can be long and difficult.

This summer, Ozarks Food Harvest is bringing together several events and partners for a new effort to help provide meals to kids and their families throughout the season: Summer Harvest.

Come out and support Summer Harvest, presented by Missouri Eye Institute, by joining us at any of the events – swimming during Splash and Sizzle, racing at Lucas Oil Speedway, the Taste of SoMo culinary event, or the Stomp the Blues festival. Or, host your own fundraiser, plant a row, or support one of our community partners. There are so many ways you can fight hunger this summer while enjoying the season and you can find them all at ozarksfoodharvest.org/hunger-doesnt-take-a-summer-break.

It is a bigger challenge this year for families with inflation and the end of the child tax care credits, but with your generous support, we can help ensure kids in the Ozarks have the food they need for a worry-free summer vacation.

Through community collaboration, we’re coming together to make a bigger difference in the lives of families who are struggling with hunger throughout the summer months. Your compassion truly makes a difference in all that we do.
