Fight Hunger. Spark Change in the Ozarks
One in five children and one in seven adults in the Ozarks struggle with hunger. To raise awareness and combat the issue, Walmart, Sam’s Club, Feeding America and Ozarks Food Harvest are kicking off the sixth annual nationwide Fight Hunger. Spark Change. campaign online and in stores.
Through May 20, customers can make a $1, $2 or $5 donation at the register or purchase specially-marked products to help provide a monetary donation to The Food Bank.
The campaign will help The Food Bank provide meals through its 270 hunger-relief partners including food pantries, homeless shelters and schools.
Last year, Walmart’s campaign raised nearly $157,000 to provide 628,000 meals for children, families and seniors in southwest Missouri. For more information on the campaign, visit walmart.com/fighthunger.
