Help provide meals with the Lent Fish Drive

February 20, 2020 in Food drive

Help provide meals for food insecure families in the Ozarks by hosting a Lent Fish Drive!

Participate in this year’s Lent Fish Drive by hosting a fish-themed food drive or dropping off nutritious and low-calorie fish in cans and pouches for families facing hunger during Lent, Feb. 26-April 9.

Fish is a wonderful source of protein and other important nutrients such as omega-3 fatty acids and Vitamin D, and it’s one of the most-requested items from our hunger-relief partners. Fish in cans and pouches is also easy to prepare, making it a great choice for hungry neighbors who might not have the space or time to prepare healthy meals.

Food items to collect:

  • Canned tuna
  • Canned salmon
  • Canned sardines
  • Canned clams
  • Tuna pouches
  • Salmon pouches

Last year’s Lent Fish Drive collected more than 3,000 meals for hungry neighbors. Let’s raise even more this year!

Register your group for this drive now, or email Sarah Byrd at sbyrd@ozarksfoodharvest.org for more info.
