Our ongoing response to COVID-19

Our ongoing response to COVID-19

June 1, 2020 in Food Bank News

While addressing the immediate, urgent needs of our 28-county service area, Ozarks Food Harvest is also looking toward the future and the long-term impacts of the COVID-19 crisis.

Thanks to many generous donors, we reached our goal of raising $250,000 to provide 1 Million Meals in 90 Days. When we set our goal, we had no idea how great the need would be. Over the last three months, 5.6 million meals were distributed to people in need by our network of 270 hunger-relief partners and through Mobile Food Pantry distributions. That’s an additional 1.1 million meals valued at $1.8 million. We’re incredibly grateful for the support we’ve received so far, but we also realize this crisis is far from over.

Over the next few months, poverty and food insecurity rates are expected to rise, and we need your help to make sure our hungry neighbors can continue to get the help they need for as long as they need it.
