Artists: Make an impact with Empty Bowls 2015

Artists: Make an impact with Empty Bowls 2015

June 1, 2015 in Donation drive

Ozarks Food Harvest is partnering with Panera Bread for Empty Bowls 2015. The annual event, set for Sept. 25, raises awareness of hunger in southwest Missouri.

For a donation to OFH, event-goers receive soup, a baguette and art to take home. The creations, ranging from pottery to carved wood, are meant to serve as a reminder of the thousands of “empty bowls” found on dinner tables across the Ozarks each night.

This event could not be successful without the help from community artists who are willing to donate bowls. Last year, local artists who donated bowls for this event helped raise nearly $1,500. Funds went directly to feeding families in the Ozarks. This success was also thanks to Panera Bread who generously donated 100 bowls of soup and bread. Can you help make the event a success this year?
