Help Springfield schools raise meals and win the title of Food Fight Champions

January 29, 2026 in Food drive Get Involved Uncategorized

Food Fight is an annual two-week competition between multiple Springfield Public Schools and their partner organizations. The teams that raise the most food and funds per student will win the title of Food Fight Champions.

Funds raised will support Ozarks Food Harvest’s Weekend Backpack Program, which provides meals for children facing hunger every weekend of the school year. Food donations will stock school and community food pantries to serve families experiencing food insecurity in the Ozarks.

Help SPS raise food and funds during Ozarks Food Harvest’s 15th annual Food Fight, February 27-March 12.

Schools can sign up here.

How to help:
• You can help your chosen school become Food Fight Champions by donating to their food drive or fundraiser. Donate online or see a list of participating schools at the links below.
• Community partners needed! Your business, church or organization can get involved by partnering with a Springfield school to help raise food and funds. The deadline to become a partner is February 6. As a Food Fight partner, your organization will host a food drive or fundraiser on behalf of your partner school to get them closer to the title of Food Fight Champion. We’ll help you set up an online fundraiser and provide food collection barrels depending on how you want to participate. Register to become a Food Fight partner at the link below.
