It’s been a year since COVID-19 turned our world upside down. The pandemic has proven to be an enduring crisis that we will continue to recover from for years to come, but within the hardship and loss, we have found hope for the days ahead.

Shepherd’s Nook Food Pantry has served families facing hunger in Dent County for 20 years. The community-based project is supported by multiple churches and businesses in the area, and everyone involved is passionate about creating sustainable change.
When Kenny arrives at Ozarks Food Harvest for his volunteer shifts every week, he’s ready to get to work. Kenny is diligent, thorough and focused as he sorts and packs food for families facing hunger in our volunteer center.
Many of our friends and neighbors are still working hard to recover from the financial impacts of COVID-19, and thousands of people in southwest Missouri aren’t sure where their next meal will come from.
Volunteers at the United Community Help Center have been helping and encouraging people in Licking for many years. The food pantry serves about 120 families each month with USDA food provided by Ozarks Food Harvest, and they also provide emergency food assistance as needed. The organization also houses a thrift store.
