SPS and Ozarks Food Harvest to raise awareness and meals during 11th annual Food Fight 2022
Food Fight is back! Springfield Public Schools will compete February 28 – March 11 for the title of Food Fight champ while raising meals for our neighbors facing hunger. Since 2011, Food Fight has helped provide more than 300,000 meals. We hope you’ll join the fight!
Schools: Register Your Drive Partners: Register Your Drive
Food Fight raises awareness about the issue of hunger and helps provide meals for the 1 in 5 children and 1 in 6 adults in southwest Missouri who face food-insecurity. Funds raised will provide weekend meals for at-risk children through Ozarks Food Harvest’s Weekend Backpack Program. Food donations will help stock school and community food pantry shelves to serve Springfield families seeking food assistance.
Partners are needed! Your business or organization can help by hosting a fundraiser or food drive on behalf of your partner school.
Every dollar raised will help provide 4 meals or $10 worth of groceries.
Each school and partner team will have a Food Fight fundraising page at bit.ly/FoodFight2022 to invite friends, employees, and clients to get involved.
Other ways to participate
Offices, Churches and Organizations:
- Host a traditional fundraiser to collect cash and change.
- Offer pay-to-play activities such as a raffle for prizes or a cutest pet contest.
- Host a food drive to collect non-perishable donations.*
Retail Stores:
- Invite customers to round up their bill when checking out.
- Accept donations of $1, $3 or $5 at the register. We can provide UPC codes and scan cards.
