Hunger in Missouri is a reality for one in eight in our state. Thousands of Missourians will go to bed hungry tonight. We have the fifth-worst rate of childhood hunger in the nation and our state experienced the third-highest rate of increase in hunger since 1994.
Missouri State athletic teams will volunteer at Ozarks Food Harvest from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 11, 2011.
The Springfield-Greene County Library District collected 8,357 pounds of food to benefit Ozarks Food Harvest through the second annual Food for Fines food drive held during the last week of January.
