Ozarks Food Harvest received a $15,000 gift from the Caterpillar Foundation to help bring more food to people struggling with hunger in the Ozarks, including the West Plains area, which is home to a Caterpillar facility.
Area Boy Scouts are wrapping up a month-long food drive this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at all Walmart Supercenters in Springfield, the Neighborhood Market on Republic Rd. and the Walmart in Ozark.
Nearly 80 grocery stores partnered with Ozarks Food Harvest to help Check Out Hunger over the holidays. The grand total of $36,515 was collected in check-out lanes across the Ozarks.
Moe’s Southwest Grill is coming to Springfield, Mo with a special grand opening fundraiser. Event-goers will receive All You Can Eat when they donate $10 for Ozarks Food Harvest.
Six Springfield and Branson chefs are competing in the Missouri Pork Association’s Taste of Elegance event. Ozarks Food Harvest is event partner for fifth consecutive year.
