To commemorate National Hunger Awareness Day, Dillons, a subsidiary of Kroger, is launching a food drive to benefit Ozarks Food Harvest and America’s Second Harvest.
Ozarks Food Harvest is planning several exciting events for Springfield and the surrounding communities to help recognize National Hunger Awareness Day.
In conjunction with National Hunger Awareness day June 6, Ozarks Food Harvest, The Food Bank, is unveiling a new logo and summary of their charity’s mission, “Transforming Hunger into Hope.”
Ozarks Food Harvest will be on the air on Alice@95.5 to spread awareness about hunger and raise money to end hunger in Southwest Missouri and North Central Arkansas.
The Ozarks Food Harvest wants to ensure that each person in its 35 county service area receives a healthy and nutritious meal everyday. It is an outrage that people in the Ozarks must choose between paying for food and other household necessities.
Thanks to the food drive Springfield Chapter of Credit Unions held on May 10th, Ozarks Food Harvest has 1,304 pounds of food to distribute to their 300 charitable food assistance partners.
