Boy Scouts will Deliver food drive collection to Ozarks Food Harvest

March 8, 2006

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. On Saturday, March 11th, area Boy Scouts will pick up the grocery bags that they dropped off at area homes for Scouting for Food last Saturday, March 4. The Boy Scouts will bring all of the non-perishable donations they receive from Greene County and Springfield to Ozarks Food Harvest between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday, March 11th. Scouting for Food is really important to our area Boy Scouts, so please help them out and remember to put your bag of donations outside by your mailbox for the Boy Scouts to pick up!

There are over 164,000 people in the Ozarks who live in poverty, and 50,000 of those people are children.  This is why the Scouting for Food drive is so important.

If you didn’t receive a specially marked bag on your door you can still make a donation to help out the Boy Scouts and the hungry in the Ozarks. Just drop off your donations at the Price Cutter Plus Store located at Republic Rd. and Kansas Expressway on March 11th from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Ozarks Food Harvest, 615 N. Glenstone Ave. on March 11th from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
