Congressman Roy Blunt attends Food Bank Conference

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— Ozarks Food Harvest (OFH) will celebrate 25 years of hunger relief efforts during their annual Agency Relations Conference on Monday, September 8th.

Kicking off the day-long event will be Congressman Roy Blunt, who will deliver opening remarks to more than 350 hunger relief agents from across the Ozarks and the U.S.

Also scheduled to attend the conference are national executives from Feeding America™, the nation’s largest charitable hunger-relief organization.

The national executives will help deliver a message focused on the theme “Leaving a Legacy”, which centers the aspects needed to keep a hunger relief agency open and running proficiently year after year.

During the conference, staff members from more than 300 of Ozarks Food Harvest’s member agencies will have a chance to listen to educational discussions led by OFH and Feeding America™ staff. Sessions will concentrate on topics like legal issues, food safety and cooking demonstrations..

This is the largest registered turnout for the conference to date, with the more than 350 seats at the conference having been sold out weeks prior to the event.

The conference will run from 8 am Monday morning until 2 pm in the afternoon.

Congressman Blunt is scheduled to speak at 8:30 am.
