Restaurant is hosting fundraiser for Ozarks Food Harvest day before grand opening

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— Moe’s Southwest Grill is coming to Springfield, Mo. with a special grand opening fundraiser on Wednesday, March 26 and opening for regular business on Thursday, March 27. The new Moe’s will be located at the Battlefield Mall, 2820 S. Glenstone Ave.

To celebrate the grand opening of Moe’s Southwest Grill, franchise owner Jeff Offutt will open doors early from 5–8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 26 for a fundraiser for Ozarks Food Harvest, the regional Feeding America food bank serving southwest Missouri. Event-goers will receive All You Can Eat when they donate $10 for Ozarks Food Harvest.

“We have a very high incidence of people who struggle with food insecurity here in the Ozarks, and this partnership is an easy way to support these folks experiencing tough times,” said OFH Development Director Denise Gibson. “With $10 per person being donated directly to our hunger programs, we can provide 50 meals.”

The fundraiser on March 26 is open to any Ozarks Food Harvest supporter and will include “free burritos for a year” drawings. Moe’s Southwest Grill will open its doors for regular business on Thursday, March 27, and the first 100 customers will receive free burritos for a year.

“We are very excited about the first Moe’s Missouri franchise coming to Springfield and this is only the beginning. In the past year, my restaurants have given six figures back to local nonprofits and look forward to doing the same here at Moe’s. I am all about community and helping those in need so to open our doors for an event for Ozarks Food Harvest is something truly special,” commented Jeff Offutt, franchise owner of Moe’s Southwest Grill in Springfield as well as 45 Subway restaurants and five Five Guys restaurants in Missouri.
