SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— Ozarks Food Harvest has earned a perfect score from Charity Navigator, America’s largest and most-utilized independent charity evaluator, based on their performance across multiple metrics. Out of the nearly 200,000 charities evaluated nationwide by Charity Navigator, less than 200 have received a perfect rating.

The Food Bank also received their 11th consecutive Four-Star Rating based on Charity Navigator’s key rating indicators or beacons. The four key indicators that determine a nonprofit’s score are Accountability & Finance, Culture & Community, Impact & Results and Leadership & Adaptability.

Ozarks Food Harvest—the Feeding America food bank for southwest Missouri— reaches nearly 50,000 individuals monthly and provides more than 20 million meals annually across its 28-county service area.

“Our perfect score and consistent four-star rating is a direct result of our strategic planning and being good stewards of every dollar donated,” said Bart Brown, president and CEO of Ozarks Food Harvest. “Even as we continue to deal with inflation and an increased demand for food, The Food Bank is still able to take $1 and turn it into $10 worth of groceries
for a family in need.”

In the past year, Ozarks Food Harvest has purchased more than $2.5 million worth of food and awarded $1 million in grant funds to its network of 270 community and faith-based charities to meet the increased demand for food across a third of the state of Missouri.
