SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— Bart Brown, Executive Director of Ozarks Food Harvest, has been selected to participate in an inaugural Leadership Conference sponsored by America’s Second Harvest, the Nation’s food bank network.

Brown is one of twenty five executive directors selected from more than 200 food banks across the country to participate in the conference, which will be the first of its kind for America’s Second Harvest.  The conference will take place February 2-3 in Kansas City, MO.

“I was humbled to be accepted and I’m excited to have the opportunity to learn from some of the best and brightest in our network,” said Brown.

Brown has been Executive Director for Ozarks Food Harvest since 2002.  Under his direction, the food bank’s programs have received regional and national recognition, including the first Economic Impact Nonprofit of the Year award in 2005 in recognition of the $7 million worth of food and support it provides to southwest Missouri annually.
