Ozarks Food Harvest launches new website today

April 15, 2015

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— Ozarks Food Harvest and Springfield agency, 40 Digits, launched the new organizational website of the regional food bank this morning. The domain remains the same as The Food Bank’s existing website, ozarksfoodharvest.org.

“We couldn’t be more excited to unveil our brand new, completely redesigned website to our donors and the entire community today,” said Denise Gibson, development and communication director at Ozarks Food Harvest. “We know that the majority of those who make charitable contributions search online before making a gift. That’s why we felt it was time to have a site built with our supporters’ needs in mind.”

Nearly one year after initial planning began, Ozarks Food Harvest’s site went live today, with an updated look that Food Bank staff says better aligns with OFH’s branding.

“We find that people still don’t understand the difference between a food bank and a food pantry, so our team has worked hard on this education piece throughout the site,” Gibson said.

The website utilizes client photos and testimonials throughout, while detailing how each direct-service program at The Food Bank works. Visitors can use a map feature to locate OFH-member agencies in their county—to either receive assistance, volunteer or donate.

Ozarks Food Harvest’s 200 member agencies also have access to nutrition education, food safety resources, recipes and more, plus they’re able to login to order their monthly food deliveries.

“Everything we do at Ozarks Food Harvest is rooted in our mission of transforming hunger into hope, and this newly re-launched website is an investment into that mission. More importantly, we hope it will help us raise more awareness of the solvable issue of hunger here in our part of Missouri. We couldn’t have chosen a better partner to work with; we’re very pleased with the new look.”
