Ozarks Food Harvest receives $7,500 gift from Neale & Newman, LLP
Donation will help provide meals for food insecure children, families and seniors across the Ozarks
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Ozarks Food Harvest recently received a $7,500 donation from Neale & Newman to help fight hunger in southwest Missouri. The generous gift will allow The Food Bank to provide more support for the 1 in 5 children and 1 in 7 adults that suffer from food insecurity in the Ozarks.
“We’re honored to receive this support from Neale & Newman,” said Denise Gibson, development and communication director at Ozarks Food Harvest. “This kind gift will make a big impact in the lives of many families facing hunger this winter, when the cost of utilities rise and having enough money left for groceries becomes more difficult.”
Ozarks Food Harvest—the Feeding America food bank for southwest Missouri—serves more than 261,000 unduplicated individuals each year in 28 counties throughout the Ozarks, and every one dollar donated provides four meals to people in need. With both food and fund donations, The Food Bank provides more than 1.4 million meals per month to children, families and seniors in need.
