Ozarks Food Harvest Responds to Tornado Disaster

March 16, 2006

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— Ozarks Food Harvest is responding to the needs of the victims of the weekend’s destructive tornadoes. Yesterday, Ozarks Food Harvest prepared over 100 emergency hunger relief boxes, which contain a total of more than 1 ½ tons of food, for local Red Cross disaster relief efforts. The food bank is also delivering additional shipments of food and supplies to member charities in the counties affected by the storms.

Ozarks Food Harvest is currently accepting donations of non-perishable foods for the disaster relief efforts at our warehouse located at the corner of Chestnut and Glenstone, 615 N. Glenstone.

The food bank serves 37,000 people each month, and we are ready and able to provide additional support in times of crisis like this.
