Ozarks Food Harvest unveiling three-year strategic plan

Event to wrap up Hunger Action Month in the Ozarks

WHO:  Members of the O’Reilly Family and Ozarks Food Harvest campaign donors will join food bank officials to learn what the O’Reilly Center for Hunger Relief has allowed OFH to accomplish over the last three years.

WHAT:  Ozarks Food Harvest will report the increased distribution of meals to 28 Missouri counties as well as the expansion of child, family and senior feeding programs, volunteer initiatives, the fresh produce program and more.

Food bank officials will then reveal its commitment to southwest Missouri as contained in its three-year strategic plan.

WHEN:  Friday, Sept. 28, 2012 at 11 a.m. Tours to follow at noon.

WHERE:  O’Reilly Center for Hunger Relief, 2810 N. Cedarbrook Ave., Springfield, Mo.

WHY:  Due to the widening meal gap, as demonstrated by recent hunger study data, Ozarks Food Harvest is encouraging clients to advocate for themselves and The Food Bank will give community members tangible ways to be part of the solution. This announcement will conclude The Food Bank’s Hunger Action Month 2012.
