Panera 8K Hunger Run benefits Ozarks Food Harvest

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— Panera Bread of Springfield will host the second annual Hunger Run, an 8K run and one mile run or walk, to benefit Ozarks Food Harvest, on Saturday, April 26, at 8:00 a.m. in the Southern Hills neighborhood.

Registration is $20 in advance for the 8K and $25 the day of the race. The one mile fun run/walk is $15 in advance and $20 the day of the run. Registration forms are available at area Panera locations, at Ridge Runner Sports, and online at active.com. Pre-registration deadline is April 18.

Day of race registration begins at 7 a.m. on April 26 in the parking lot in front of Panera Bread on East Sunshine in the Southern Hills Shopping Center. Both races begin at 8 a.m.

Male and Female Divisions fall into the following age brackets: 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over.

Each paid and pre-registered runner will receive a short-sleeved t-shirt on the day of the race. Panera gift cards will be awarded to the top three division winners, and a plaque will be awarded to the overall male and female runners.

Students can participate for a fee of five nonperishable food items.
