Ridgecrest Baptist Church sponsors KRUZ-N-4-KANS car show to benefit OFH

WHAT:  “Kan Challenge” (Which brand truck is your favorite?)

WHERE:  Remington’s Parking Lot, 1655 West Republic Road, Springfield, Mo.

WHEN:  Saturday, October 7, 2006, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— Ridgecrest Baptist Church is sponsoring Remington’s KRUZ-N-4-KANS Challenge, a car show and food drive to benefit Ozarks Food Harvest, on Saturday, October 7 at Remington’s Parking Lot, 1655 West Republic Road, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Registration is free, and the first 50 participants receive a t-shirt and goodie bag.  The show is open to all cars, trucks, and motorcycles.

A “Kan Challenge” will take place during the event in which car show goers will vote which brand of truck is their favorite by placing canned goods in the truck beds of a Ford, Chevy, or Dodge pick-up.  The fullest truck at the end of the day is the winner, and all canned goods will be donated to Ozarks Food Harvest.  Trucks are provided by Friendly Ford, Reliable Chevrolet, and Central Dodge.

Concessions and door prizes will be available.  Trophies will be awarded for People’s Favorite Car, People’s Favorite Truck, and People’s Favorite Motorcycle.
