December 10, 2012

WHO:  Ozarks Food Harvest is receiving a large donation of poultry, thanks to Smart Chicken’s 10th annual Feed the Hungry campaign.

WHAT:  The only food bank in southwest Missouri will utilize the 9,000 pounds of Smart Chicken® to provide 7,500 meals to hungry Ozarks families this holiday season and after the New Year.

WHEN:  Tuesday, Dec. 18 at 9:30 a.m.

WHERE:  The O’Reilly Center for Hunger Relief (Ozarks Food Harvest), 2810 N. Cedarbrook Ave., Springfield

WHY:  Smart Chicken’s Feed the Hungry promotion donates one pound of poultry for every 10 pounds of product purchased at local grocery stores.

“Protein-rich food items are at the top of our holiday wish list, so this gift comes at an ideal time for us,” said Denise Gibson, development director at Ozarks Food Harvest. “We are thankful for Smart Chicken’s continued support of hunger relief here in the Ozarks.”
