Tyson Foods, Inc. donating truckload of chicken to McDonald’s Cans for Coffee

WHO:  The Food Bank will receive a large protein donation during the fifth annual McDonald’s Cans for Coffee food drive. Ozarks Food Harvest is the only food bank in southwest Missouri, distributing more than 800,000 meals monthly to 250 nonprofit agencies.

WHAT:  Tyson Foods, Inc. will donate more than 38,000 pounds of chicken to Ozarks Food Harvest in the name of the fifth annual McDonald’s Cans for Coffee food drive at more than 60 restaurants in more than 40 Ozarks communities.                                                      

WHEN:  Tuesday, Nov. 13 at 10 a.m.

WHERE:  Ozarks Food Harvest–The Food Bank, 2810 N. Cedarbrook Ave., Springfield, Mo.

WHY:  This donation is in support of the McDonald’s Cans for Coffee food drive for Ozarks Food Harvest. The drive encourages community members to donate a nonperishable food item at a participating McDonald’s of the Ozarks location, and in exchange, donors receive one free small McCafé® drink of their choice through Nov. 18.
