US 97 Night at the Races supports Ozarks Food Harvest

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— Lucas Oil Speedway & US 97 are offering free admission to the races in Wheatland on Saturday, July 26 when event-goers donate four nonperishable food items for Ozarks Food Harvest at the gate. The partnership is an effort to help feed hungry children, families and seniors across southwest Missouri.
Prior to the Saturday race, US 97 is also collecting food in advance, at Just For Him, 1334 E. Battlefield, on Wednesday, July 23 from 10 a.m.–6 p.m. with a live remote from 12–2 p.m. Donors will receive one free ticket to the July 26 races at Lucas Oil for every four nonperishable food items given.
Donations for admission are also accepted the night of the race near an Ozarks Food Harvest truck and US 97 tent. Gates open at 5 p.m., hot laps begin at 7 p.m. and racing is at 7:30 p.m.
Food donations will also support Ozarks Food Harvest’s member food pantry in Wheatland, Mo., Hickory County CARES.
Since 2008, Lucas Oil has helped collect more than 21,000 pounds of food for Ozarks Food Harvest. Last year, more than 7,500 pounds were donated — the largest amount collected at Lucas Oil for OFH.
The Speedway is located at 700 E. Hwy 54, Wheatland, and directions can be found at lucasoilspeedway.com. Regular admission is $12 for adults ages 16 and up, $8 for seniors ages 62 and up and $5 for youth ages 6 to 15. To learn more about the food drive, go to us97.com.
