Scouts kick off month-long Scouting for Food service project

Boy Scouts across the Ozarks are going door-to-door in March to collect nonperishable food items for Ozarks Food Harvest during their 25th annual Scouting for Food food drive. The project wraps up on Saturday, March 29 with a one-day, community-wide food drive at several Walmart locations.

Grocery shoppers have until Dec. 31 to Check Out Hunger for Ozarks Food Harvest at nearly 80 participating stores. Check Out Hunger gives community members the opportunity to add a $1, $3 or $5 tax-free donation to their bill when checking out at area grocers.

General Mills – Joplin gifts $10,000 to OFH
